BACK TO SCHOOL GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY
Back to school can be a shock to the system for many of us. Today I am offering a back to school tip to help your transition back into the classroom run just a little bit smoother. The first few weeks of school should be about getting to know your students and teaching classroom procedures. Spending the first weeks of school getting to know your students and going over routines will set the tone for the remainder of the year.
Make sure that your kiddos know that you are there for them and please, please don’t follow the no smile rule! Your students need to feel comfortable with you. they need to trust you in order to want to learn from you and listen to what you have to say. When your students have a clear understanding of your classroom routines and expectations the better they will be at following the expectations that you have set for them. Once students are aware of all of your classroom routines, no matter how small (teach them everything, even if you think they should already know something), your class will run like a well old machine. Cheesy analogy, I know but true!
